hands down evo is the best car so all u guys down there talkin like you know ha drive a evo first
You have been extremely lucky, thats incredible.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Between myself, my family and my close friends we’ve had a 2002 GTi, a 2007GTi, a 2007 Rabbit, a 2005 Jetta, a 2002 Passat, a 2002 A4, a 2005 A4, a 2007 A3 DSG Quattro, and others and none of them have had any major problems despite sharing technology, platforms and engineering with the R32. As far as resale value goes, I looked and actually all of them do pretty well holding 50% for 5+ years.
i hate hearing BOY RACER, im getting tired of hearing reviews bash that. Were just spirited drivers that like good quick cheap cars.
stop being biased people
STi in 3rd? wtf. VW gets 2nd?! looks like someone owed VW a big favor or something. I love the EVO and the STI (own an 08) but seriously what are you smoking by throwing a VW in there? Even the Mazdaspeed or Cobalt SS would be a better overall challenger.
Maybe you consider VW high class, but the American market does not. Japanese cars don’t break down very often regardless of how you drive them. VW has never rivaled Japanese cars on reliability. Its good you will never have to worry about lack of work. If you really are a VW mechanic you already know all of this.
ya? explain how the old man golf can compete with the road going rally cars.
You’re clearly a moron that knows absolutely nothing about cars. Honestly.
Since all European car manufacturers are what we call “high class” here in the states, I don’t mind having the golf be the everyday car. Civics shouldn’t ever be compared to a Golf. p.s. I’m a VW mechanic. People fuck up their own cars by not being able to drive them.
I bet the sti wasn’t in S#(sport sharp) mode during this testing, resulting in slower numbers than it should have achieved. They probably had it in economy mode…haha.
third place for wrx wow i have one and its not slow at all
wtf?! sti 0-60 in 5.0? wrx’s can do better than that..stis get to sixty in like 4-4.5
Owned, not made by. But, yes i know, They also own Bugatti and Lamborghini but you won’t find a single common part between brands, so thats kind of irrelevant.
did you know that porsche is owned/made by VW
I wouldn’t buy one, Mine was a piece of shit. Try driving one for a couple years. You’ll be happy to take a loss just to get rid of it. Resale value? lol good luck with that one. Even while its still under warranty you’ll be lucky if its not broken down half of the time. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
O ok my neighbor has brand new Blue Nissan racing color Z370 2009 year.
